Filed under the personal is political yup basically if i were to get pregnant right now chances are i would get an abortion because a) i would also probably have been raped given that i'm highly unlikely ever to willingly have sex with a man and b) aside from not wanting to raise a rapist's spawn i am in NO way ready to look after another human being i have no money i have no career i have no self-esteem all of these would significantly hamper my ability to parent and when i parent i want to be the best parent i can be i value myself and my future kid too much to have a baby before i'm ready to raise one i fucking hate when anti-choicers go on about how all human life is 'a gift' like pregnancy and parenting is just SO easy it's not like we're playing with not one but two (in a lot of cases more) human lives here it's not possible to screw those up so badly you can create GENERATIONS of mal-adjustment oh wait make no mistake: abortion is the gift here
